Club Ladders

Would it be possible to create a pre-defined ladder type competition in addition to the existing Unstructured, Swiss, All Play All etc. types?

Ideally, the ladder would only allow results between players separated by a selectable gap and also list the ladder in the correct sequence as games are played and even better only display valid opponents for any member of the ladder depending on any particular criteria.

There are other chess club ladder solutions available but I think it would be very useful to have this functionality within the LMS.

I have looked at the way different clubs have implemented ladders using the LMS but the setups all appear to be different.
