Average team ratings Fleet 1293 Farnham 1705. Farnham needed 10-0 and Fleet 0.5-9.5 so Fleet & Farnborough progress to the Final.
Two Fleet players selected had transport difficulties and didn't arrive, to be replaced by Hobbs & Hampshire. All five Fleet players had little to no ECF grading record (* or P or nil ratings). Richardson was re-estimated up by 170 to 1503 by myself as Tournament Controller before the match based on a historic grade. Mansfield had only one previous rated game before the match - a loss to 1429C. With hindsight of the Final result as well, Mellon may be stronger than his estimate and Hampshire weaker than his estimate, but the Fleet team average would still be very close to 1300.
