Honours even in this match. A busy nights chess at Wimborne with three matches being played! All games in this match were hard fought, Wimborne got off to a good start with a win on board one, then two draws left board 3 as the last match to finish. I managed to get an advantage after exchanging knight for rook in the middle game and held on to make the overall match a draw. Thanks to Wimborne for hosting.

Probably a fair result on the night . I switched our 1 & 2 around as I felt Nathaniel's aggressive style might upset their Board 1 , it did ! . Mike J on 2 got a draw on 2 and I thought we had a chance to get out 1st Win of the season late on - Stuart on 3 is just out of form and lost in what looked a hard game . My game on 4 could have gone either way and putting the game through an Engine afterwards showed wins for both players at various stages , so with Queens & Rooks on the Board and less than 2 minutes each we basically bottled it and agreed a draw ! But Wimborne C have avoided the " null points " Eurovision scenario ! gh
