A real see-saw battle; on board 1 Thomas went a [piece down only to win it back, lose it once more, win it back once more and secure a draw! Board 2 went to Bournemouth with Andrew persistently building up an ultimately winning attack. Susan and Tony played a very complex game, which Susan won by building an attack on a hemmed in king. In my game I had a pawn advantage in a game that was threatening to be a locked up draw, but a slight positional error lead to White's Knight becoming trapped on the side of the board and once this was exchanged the pawn advantage proved decisive.
Many thanks to Bournemouth for a closely fought and friendly encounter.
