Despite our 4th consecutive 2.5-1.5 defeat that leaves us bottom of the league, as a club we're really happy with our debut season in the Dorset League.
Thanks again to Wimborne for hosting us (as we were officially the home team!), see you next season.

Thanks to Yeovil for an excellent match that could have gone either way.
Board 1 was first to finish with another kamikaze game from Wimborne's captain!
Board 2 seemed to be heading for a draw but Grzegorz found a way to win.
Board 4 looked very even but white went for the win sacing piece for a few pawns but could not force through any of his pawns and Bill had a winning position when his opponent lost on time.
Board3 was a very long knight and pawn end game with Richie trying very hard to find a win in an even end game but eventually ran out of pawns for a draw.
The win puts us equal top with 4 teams possible to win the league.
