This competitive match completed Ringwood's Bacchus programme and meant the 3 matches between these 2 clubs in this league resulted with 1 win each and 1 draw. A fitting conclusion to some excellent encounters. In this one, boards 1 and 4 were close right to the very end. Top board was between 2 young and highly promising players and a game unfolded of an especially high standard. Boards 2 & 3 reversed previous Ringwood losses.
But as always in Bacchus, the priority has been to get match experience. As if scripted to happen, 4 new junior players joined the Ringwood club both last week and tonight, all keen to play in Bacchus. So the future feels good and very much hoping at least one new team decides to join this league next season. Sincere thanks to Poole and Southbourne for providing good competition and making new friendships.
