A closer fought match than the result indicates. While Leo got Poole off to a quick start, the other games were all hard fought. Ellis managed to find a piece sacrifice leading to his two rooks coming in to deliver mate. My game against Jake saw him attack my knights with a series of pawn pushes, leading to me going the exchange down to a knight fork. With his king uncastled, I was lucky that the two knights worked together to open up the king, and in a very double-edged finish that could have gone either way I was fortunate to win. Dragi had a two pawn advantage at one point, but with only opposite coloured bishops on the board a draw was agreed.
