Dorchester came with a strong so we knew we were in for a tough match, and so it proved. By 9.15 all games looked level , board 1 a caro Khan Bill sacked a piece and the game settled into an interesting battle rook and pawn v two Knights. Suddenly breakthrough Geoff wins against Ken 0-1, next to finish Rob pulls off a win from what seemed an equal position 1-1. Board 1 agreed a draw so the focus switched to board 4 , 1 1/2 -1 1 1/2 , finally with the dawn just appearing over the horizon I managed to squeeze a win Thank you Dorchester for another close match

Well done Highcliffe, back at
Well done Highcliffe, back at the top of the table, but we gave you a good match. My game lasted 58 moves but my final pawn was two squares behind my opponent's in the race to queen.
