In the last Division B match of the season there was little to play for as Lytham 2 would be runners up regardless of the result. On Board 1 Geoff lost a pawn when his queen became overloaded, following some tricky play Phil was able to simplify to a won ending. Oliver was doing well against Hambel, a pawn up but Hambel defended resiliently and eventually won when Oliver lost a rook to a knight fork while in time trouble. Becky seemed to have a space advantage against Dave but it was Dave who came through to win - I did not get to see the details of how he achieved this. Finally, Colin Wilks was a last minute substitute and he made a mistake which led to the loss of a piece.
