This was the first time that Lytham has fielded a 5th Team and it showed the strength in depth that the club now has with a four board win over their 4th team. The Junior Oliver Nunn, won on Board 1 in his first ever competitive game against the experienced Ben O'Rourke. On board 3 Pat Coleman gave away a rook to John Regan and on Board 4, Richard Smith under pressure of the clock, missed a good opportunity and let David Gamble in to win in a long match.
